The SATELLITE conference in Washington D.C. will be returning from 13 – 16 March, 2023. It’s ongoing mission…to connect and unite the satellite industry as the space sector heads into new challenges and new frontiers. As part of this mission, SATELLITE 2023 will be hosting its 7th Annual Startup Space competition, bringing together startup companies and investors from around the world to simulate investment and growth for the future of space.
Applications are currently open until 31 August for participation in next year’s competition. Selected applicants will have the opportunity to visit Washington D.C. where they will be given five minutes to pitch their company or product in front of a panel of industry judges who will score the presentations. The applicant with the highest overall score will be named the winner and receive private pitch meetings with some of the most active investors in the space sector today.
Applicants worldwide are encouraged to submit. However, there are a few items to consider before applying. Every Startup Space contestant must be a “startup” firm seeking early stage funding. Additionally, these startups must be independently owned (i.e., not subsidiaries of larger companies, non-profits, or government affiliated), and applicants must be willing to share a reasonable amount of information about their business, finances, and product(s) with the panel of judges in a public forum. Sensitive information will be protected. If selected, the applicant whose name appears on the application form must be the person to deliver the pitch at the SATELLITE 2023 event.
