UKSEDS invites you to take part in the Student Space Symposium on October 10th 2020. The symposium is a virtual event that provides students the opportunity to write and present space-related papers to an audience of their peers and be published in the symposium proceedings. The best submissions will also be published in an issue of the Journal of the BIS (JBIS)* (see more here).

In order to be considered, students must submit an abstract between 200-400 words by 26th July to symposium@ukseds.org. Selected students will be expected to develop their abstracts into full papers, of no more than five pages, which they will present during the symposium on 10th October 2020.

Abstracts can be based on any space-related topic of interest to the writer, including but not limited to space law, education, architecture, medicine, astronomy, planetary sciences, satellites, etc. Selected papers will be featured in the new UKSEDS annual publication. Students may submit one or more abstracts, but will be expected to write an accompanying paper for each, if selected.

The symposium will also serve as a medium to network and develop relationships with other students and space professionals who will be livestreaming the event.

Please note, you must be a UKSEDS member to submit an abstract. You can join for free here.

*subject to peer review before publication
