UPDATE: In recent months Coronavirus (Covid-19) has become an international issue. We have postponed the 8th Cryogenics Workshop to 2021 at ESTEC subject to a favourable status of the Covid-19 situation. We believe that this is in the interest of all our personal safety. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cost. We are pleased to inform that the 8th European Space Cryogenics Workshop will take place from 18 – 20 October 2021.

Objectives

This workshop will cover topics related to space developments and on-going and future cryogenic space missions.

A special focus will be on the outcome of the 2019 Cryogenics and Focal Plane Cooling harmonisation process and the cryogenics related prospects of the Copernicus expansion and new generation missions.

Participants will have the opportunity to share their technical expertise and experiences through formal presentations and informal discussions.

The main objectives for the 8th European Space Cryogenics Workshop are:

  • To present the state-of-the-art of cryogenic development for on going Space Missions
  • To present experience with In-orbit Cryogenic Systems and lessons learnt
  • To explore and elaborate on future needs in the cryogenics field for space applications.
