A talk by Mike Curtis-Rouse – Head of Manufacturing for Space, Satellite Applications Catapult

The drive for net-zero demands that we look for new ways of generating clean power, without further devastation to our planet’s climate and ecology. This can be solved to an extent through terrestrial means, but there are other ways in which we can achieve; namely harvesting sunlight from our nearest star and delivering that energy to the planet’s surface.

This talk will discuss how the UK is planning to be in the vanguard in design and construction of the first orbital solar power stations, and what this means for our society, our planet, and ultimately our future in space. If you are interested in hearing about this new frontier, which offers opportunities for every generation, then this is a talk you won’t want to miss!
