Information:

This virtual meetup is a spin-off from an in-person working group called Earth Engine @ Yale. Initiated by Sabrina Szeto in 2017, this group continues to support the EE user community at Yale under the Yale Center for Earth Observation.

Earth Engine @ Yale is currently led by Tirthankar “TC” Chakraborty, Natalie Schultz, Kelvin Fong and Diego Ellis Soto.

For Users, By Users

Each month, we feature a fellow community member who uses Earth Engine for their work or research. Our meetings are free and open for anyone to join.

How does it work?

Our 1 hour meetups follow a simple format:

The first 30 minutes are devoted to our guest speaker. They present for 15 to 20 minutes and we have the remaining time for questions and answers.

The last 30 minutes are devoted to tips, tricks and troubleshooting. Users have the open floor to bring up questions, problems, resources, ideas and more. Our meeting software has screensharing capabilities to allow for demos too!
