This Space Café WebTalk will feature Dr. Natália Archinard, Deputy Head of the Science, Education, Transport and Space Section at the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, and Chair of the Scientific and Technical Subcommittee of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS), in conversation with Torsten Kriening, publisher of SpaceWatch.Global.

“Switzerland’s Commitment to Space Sustainability”

In this discussion, Dr. Natália Archinard will talk about challenges to space sustainability and how they are dealt with at UNCOPUOS and other intergovernmental bodies. She will further elaborate on the global governance of space activities and the difficulties to maintain the multilateral dialogue alive in times of COVID-19 and as developments in space activities by both States and private actors are flourishing.
