This Space Café WebTalk will feature Niklas Hedman, Chief of the Committee, Policy and Legal Affairs Section of the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) in Vienna, in conversation with Torsten Kriening, publisher of SpaceWatch.Global and COO of ThorGroup GmbH.
Niklas Hedman will address the governance phases under the 60 year history of the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNCOPUOS) and the “New Frontier” with increasing governance, commercial and scientific interests in planetary exploration, space resources, and planetary protection. The talk will address the role of multilateralism in this “New Frontier” Era.
The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions in dialogue with Niklas Hedman.
