Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer or a computer-controlled robot to perform tasks that are usually associated with intelligent beings. It is sometimes referred to as “Machine learning” and applied to systems that attempt to replicate certain decision-making processes that are typical of humans.

The European Space Agency (ESA) provides technical and financial support to companies that develop innovative and commercial products and services, combining artificial intelligence with space technologies. The combined use of AI and space technology is promising across industries, both in terms of practical applications and in terms of economic potential.

The European Space Agency (ESA) has published a series of tenders under the Kick-Start Activities, offering successful applicants up to €60,000 in funding for a feasibility study.

The event will present ESA’s Business Applications Programme, explain the roles of the partners involved, present the ESA Kick-Start Ac- counts “Artificial Intelligence”, and highlight support opportunities offered by the German ESA BA ambassador.
